I have been trying to model a multi-story builidng and as always the drawing tool for robot is quite unpercise. Now that I have completed modelling the bearing walls Ive noticed that ALL  the panels (walls) are split into contours which are defined by the mesh? It means that i cannot change mesh as it trys to connect with the edge points of the contour.

How can i make the contour panel again into a normal wall where it is defined by 4 points ?!

Is it caused by the model correction tool? It means the tool is quite dangerous to use and i need to model it all over again?

Made screenshot which shows the situation for one wall? Deleting the mesh does not do anything (just creates new mesh according to the edge points).

IMHO the correction tool will not divide panel contours. This may happen when you create a panel on selection of such defined elements or when you manually divide edges.

I made wall by normal way on a plan, did not divide anything. Now i noticed that even BARS are divided into small pieces?

I'd maybe live with it but i have not put any supports on my walls yet and all the walls are split into so many edges that Id be putting the supports on whole building for an hour.

EDIT: tested the macro, works nicely BUT I have to to it on all the wall one by one... 344 wall elements 😕

Id like to know the reason how it happend. i did not divide anything and it happend after i corrected the model. (btw, using robot 2012)

What was the tool you used for the correction?

This one:

I Guess I use the macro you gave the link for but I'm hoping that it will not mess up the new mesh and all the connections.

Im quite supirsed that the correction tool messed up the walls as most of the walls are copied between floors without modifications. And if the modifications are done then they are done with care (I guess there were not many possible mistakes between nodes) Used the correction tool just for insurance (backfired bigtime)

Make sure you did't mark the bar intersections next time.

I would suggest using the detailed correction instead as well as watching the 2nd RSA webinar which shows the set of best practises for this task.
