Cross shape section (profile) disabled for splice steel connection

Forum Members,

I'm doing base plate , splice connection of Cross member profile (Star column) at Robot 2015. But the section button is disabled. Please guide how to enable and do design. Thanks.

Hi,

If a section type is not accessible (grayed out) it means that it is not supported for the selected connection type.

If you find your post answered press the Accept as Solution button please. This will help other users to find solutions much faster. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. My option is base plate connection type (pls refer attachment), but "Cross profile" disabled. so base plate connection for cross section not available at Robot? If so, let me know is there any other options to work with.

Thanks again.

Yes, this section shape is not supported for the fixed column base connection. If you want to design it in Robot the closest approximation would be to use rectangular tube as a column profile instead.
