Creating a "swinging" motion to model momentum

Hi,

I am modelling a structure that will be hanging from the ceiling of a cruise ship. In the static case the structure is vertical. However with the roll of the ship it will have an applied momentum force.

Below is the screenshot of my model at 25 degree angle, the maximum amplitude of the roll.

With the period is there a way of modelling the momentum in the structure or will I have to just work out the force and then apply it statically?

Inertia forces resulting from translation accelerations or rotation accelerations (centrifugal ones) can be modeled using the options shown below. It wil result in automatic generation of such loads - as static forces.

excellent thank you. So I just need to imput point of rotation, velocity and acceleration calculated from my amplitude and period?

If you want to consider only centrifugal force that it is enough to input radial velocity v related to it. There is no need to input radial acceleration a.
