AFAIK it is not possible... and it is pointless.
If You want to use thicker column flange, just use custom welded I section with the same web height and use it as column profile (only in connection design).
The only problem is, that You can use only symmetrical I sections.
You can use I-section with thicker flanges in the model in knee area, but it is not necessary - You can use it only in Connection Design module:
Some additional comments to Knee connection design:
- Replacing column flange to thicker one... is easy for welded profiles.
- For hot-rolled I-sections it is also possible but... a little bit laborious
then in such case, before replacing column flange into thicker - You can try another strengthening methods:
