Hello,
Our users have installed RSAP 2017, 2018 and 2019 versions on the same machine. when they start either one of the version (i.e., v2017) it throws an dialogue window saying,
"Launching this version of the program requires repeating a short registration procedure for its components. To ensure correct registration, you will need to accept further warnings displayed by the system".
If select "OK", it prompts a window to enter admin credentials for the components to be registered. When it's done, RSAP 2017 works fine, But if you start RASP 2018 or 2019 you will get the message above and you have to do the same process.
As user can't look for service desk guys to provide admin rights every time to start the application, kindly provide if there is a fix for it.
Thank you.
For use of multiple versions of RSA on the same computer one has to have an admin right so that the right version of Robot is being registered when switched to from another. There is no other technical solution for this available
If I managed to answer your question(s) press the Accept as Solution button please. This will help other users to find solution(s) much faster. Thank you.
Thanks for the quick response!
From IT department view, it is not possible to provide admin rights to all users who encountering the issue.
I can see the same issue exist from long (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/robot-structural-analysis-forum/conflicts-between-rsap-2013-and-2014-...) and no technical solution identified from Autodesk from that date?
Can you please address this issue to Autodesk and try to get some resolution.
Thank you.
