How do I get robot to place edge bars farther apart than 5" on center, I have tried every setting available to me and the calculation results in bars at 5" on center no matter the size of the edge element.

The design worked with the short element so why is Robot placing so many bars in the longer element, I'm not finding a code section that would limit the spacing to the apparent 5"+/- that robot is using.
Secondary questions is how do I layout user bars, whenever I try to delete the program designed bars Robot 2022 crashes completely.
once again this is a topic where the Robot manual provides almost no information.
