Complex shape modeling

Hi guys,

So I'm trying to model a complex shape as in the picture below, I've tried different ways to create this shape but I alawys fail.

So I'm asking if there is anyway that I can remove the intersections of the panels shown in the picture to get the reqired shape?

and if there are any other ideas to create this model, please suggest it 🙂

models are attached,

thanks 😄

Hi @mustafahesenow,

First of all, thanks for the new method that I've learned from you,

but when I did it to the whole shape, the meshing got really bad and not defined on the element correctly!

So what am I doing wrong, in order to avoid these problems? thanks.

Here is an example of what I got some areas without mesh, model is attached.

Hi @Rafacascudo,

what I want is similar to a dome but with some cuttings (I don't have a word for this shape Smiley Frustrated ) , but the picture below shows the shape I want.

Hi @Anonymous

I'm attaching the meshed model however you need to have RSA 2019 to open it.

Conversion to ACIS and Union of all panels however with some additional action that you will not be able to do in the current commercial version of RSA. Smiley Sad

I'm attaching the rtd file I missed. I hope it will help. Smiley Happy

Hi @Anonymous

For extruded / revolved / ACIS panels the thickness label is not displayed in the Inspector as it is assigned to its sides.
