Column has been assigned into 2 different stories

Hai. Currently I am doing a carpark building where it has level 1 and level 1a.

When I first model the building, I do it in the same level and then I moved the level 1a upward and assigned the element in the level 1a stories using assign manually function.

However, when I select level 1, all the column at level 1a also selected. How do I fix this problem?Whole structure-Level 1 highlighted.PNGLevel 1.PNGLevel 1a.PNG

HI @Anonymous

Am I correct in assuming that the story 1a partially 'overlaps' with the Story 1 rather than is defined 'above' it?

The level 1a is actually defined above level 1

Hi @Anonymous

Actually they 'overlap'. As Robot stories functionality is not 'prepared' to handle such situations the only solution I can think of is to define stories as shown below and assign elements manually.

Hi Artur, thank you for your reply.

I already assigned the columns using assign manually function before but it still happens that way. But I just got the answer, I reassigned the columns by using object inspector

Hi again Arthur,

According to my last reply, I already got the model correct but when I run the calculation, this message comes out, 'the element is defined on a story different from the assigned one'. How do I fix this?

Hi Artur,

Maybe I solved the modeling issue but the calculation warning says that 'the element is defined on a story different from the assigned one'. How do I fix this?Capture3.PNG

Hi @Anonymous

Just ignore it. For a model with the geometry like this you will not be able to 'avoid' it.
