Hello,

It seems I am out of luck (again) with getting the correct load distrbution on cladding.

Anyone willing to have a look and help?

Attached screen shot and model.

Cheers

max

Hi,

It sound very strange. Try to divide the right beam in the place where the distributed load ends....it never happened to me!!!!

Hi Stephano,

It worked, thank you for looking into this.

I would have thought that adding points along the bar - without splitting the bar - would be enough and was the way the cladding element was intended to work.

Stephano, I will not mark it as a solution yet, waiting to see if Autodesk support can provide additional clarification as in my line of work loads on cladding have various extent and I would prefer not to split bars/beams unless this is the only way forward.

cheers

No problem max,

To be sure that you have the right behaviour of your cladding, try to do this:

1) create a new load case named test,

2) assign in this loas case the uniform load equal to 1 KN/m2

3) check the surface of your cladding and then check the sum of Fz reactions for test load case..

If the value is the same of the surface, the claddings it works fine...if not, you need to investigate your model
