Cladding Load Distribution

Hi,

I have a question regarding load distribution through cladding. My model is as in Fig.1. The extruded model along with cladding is in Fig.2.

I have applied wind load in -X direction and the load distribution is shown in Fig.3.

My question is, does the cladding distribute the load on the column upto the full height of the rafter or does it distribute the load till the center line of the rafter only.

Regards,

Rameez.

The rafter is represented as line and section.I think that the load is applied to the all height of the rafter.

Thanks Mohammed,

I think that should be the case. But the GUI in Fig.3 shows that the load is applied till the center line of the Rafter.

I just want the confirmation from autodesk. If its not the case then I will have to apply additional point load on top of the column for the area of rafter exposed to the wind.

Hmm Let me get this straight, You made a Cladding then loaded the Columns for Wind Load?

What's the Use of the Cladding then?

Claddings can transfer Loads to Columns, so just apply pressure to the Claddings..

Just to show you, I made use of claddings and used the CFD for wind Loads:

Worked Fine For me..

You just have to specify on which direction does the Load needed to be distributed.
