Changing members' sections

When i model a building, i use primary sections for columns, beams, ... based on my experience and expectation for the internal forces that will be generated on these members. Then after modeling, i import the forces on members in Excel using Results Connect, then i design these members using some Excel sheets i made before. (I know that i can design in robot but i prefer to check my manual design on Robot).

After designing members, i need to change some members section in Robot model.

Is there's a link (API) between Robot and Excel, which i can use to change members' sections from excel despite instead of going back to Robot and change it manually.

Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

Mr. @Refaat

I know that there's an API that i can use do define new sections in robot from Excel. I was asking whoever there's another which can assign section to list of bars/members from excel.

Thank you very much ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi @Muhammed.OPERA

Sure it is possible to write such macro. I am not aware of any similar already posted on forum.

If you do not want to try API by yourself ,maybe try Stefano's macro.
