Change member type parameters for selected bars

Hi,

is there a way to change code group parameters for selected elements (columns in my case) (all at once)?

I figured out that it is possible to change properties type through "object properties" menu only when one element is selected!?

Regards!

I see that it is possible to apply design parameters in steel/aluminium design module, but again one by one! I have a small model with 111 elements, but it's still a waste of time.

Hi @Anonymous

Assigning labels (including the member type with code parameters) is the same as for any other e.g. release. Just select the bars and assign the label:

Hi @Anonymous

Design > Steel Member Design - Options > Code parameters

or

member type dialog.PNG

On the Steel Design layout.

The RSA GUI is good, but I think that it would be even better if every feature could be managed only from one place: in this case, the functionality overlap between the member tab in the "Definitions" dialog box and the "Member type" dialog box is very confusing: it would be much cleaner and clearer to merge both dialog boxes in one. The same happens in other parts of the GUI. Anyway, RSA has a GUI much cleaner than other structural analysis software in the market.
