Beam Modeled as Panel

Hello All,

Is it possible to extract the forces and bending moments (i.e. Axial Force, Shear Force, Bending Moment and Torsion) for beam/deep beam modeled as panel.

The above photo shows (by providing vertical cut) the applied vertical shear and moment at the center of the wall . However, is there any way to extract the bending moment (top and bottom at support and mid span respectively) in addition to the torsional moment which I believe will be more critical.

Please refer to the attached sketches. Sketch 1 shows the 3d model (beam modeled as bar and panel) while sketch 2 shows the bending diagram along with the torsional moment for the beam (Member 1). I would like to ask if it is possible to extract the same moment for the beam (at support My = 3.71 kN.m and at mid span My = 10.15 kN.m) if panel was considered in the model instead of bar.

For My values you may try to define panel cuts at these locations. For Mx you would need to manually integrate out of the plane shear forces.

i recommend you take a look at , Results-> Advanced -> Reduced Results for panels.
