Hi,
I am doing my dissertation on cable trusses. The aim of the dissertation is to find the working ranges of the trusses by changing different parameteres. After chaging the parameters like, prestress, span, dip, thermal load application and more; I have to plot different graphs like pre-stress against displacement. I saw someone in the discussion trying to do that using VBA. I have no idea what VBA is. Is there a way to generate data directly to excel?
The discussion where someone else trying to do that
Can someone explain it here please. It will save me buckets loads of time...
I imagine proceadure should be as follows:
- VBA reads a range of relative elongation values (or maybe there schould be a step increment)
- It applies it to cable prestress value
- Robot runs calculation
- VBA copies Displacements of nodes to one sheet and stresses to another.
- VBA applies another relative elangation for cable,
- Robot runs analysis
- and so on.
Copied results schould build one after another to one table.
I am attaching my robot file.
