Autodesk Robot add nodes when adding members

Good day

Autodesk Robot adds nodes when I create new members between existing nodes. This results in nodes being on top of each other. My colleagues robot does not do this. Where is the setting to switch this option on or off? I now it is possible to merge the nodes with the correct tool.

hi @Stewan.BotesFCDBK

To add a bar without creating extra nodes, you must wait until the nearby node has been detected, which will be visible graphically. (small circle around the node)

To remove overlapping nodes, select all nodes, then deselect any bars or objects. Next, go to the <Edit> menu and select <Intersect>. All overlapping nodes will be removed, and the bars will be reconnected automatically.

Snap settings can be accessed by right-clicking on the view. You can also deactivate the grid to avoid confusion.

Correcting a model will always take longer than ensuring it’s correct from the start.

Best Regards

Another option to get rid of repeated nodes is to generate the structure model on Analysis options, structure model tab
