(API) Macro for adding section in rsection dialog box

Hi,

I need some help doing a real timesaving macro for excel. I think it’s an easy one but I don’t have enough expertise doing the programing.
The idea is to write down a bunch of steel section, perhaps from RCAT library, in a column of excel. i.e. A1 = “IPE 180”, A2 =”HEA 300”, A3= “IPE 500” … and make a button for robot create then in section label manager. It’s important if section do not exists in “RCAT” library it would pops up a alert msgbox.

Is it possible?

Regards,
TP

Hi tdiogop,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thik that this is already possible saving your favorite cross sections in a personalised catalogue in the apposite cross section definition command, so that you can use it in each model you want...try to investigate carefully the section definition form.

Tomorrow in the afternoon I will send you a screenshot of the steps.

Cheers
