According to Eurocode 5, timber connections should be designed by considering a modified set of forces.
Forces determined by Robot should be multiplied by the following coefficient gM/kmod.
GammaM depends only on the material applied on the bars while kmod depends on the material, the service class and on the load case classification duration.
This addin is intended to determine this new set of forces for selected bar in ROBOT.
Forces and loads cases are imported in the spreadsheet, the new set of forces is determined and the envelop is generated.
“Création rapide cas.exe” (English name « quick load case creator”)
The purpose of this addin is to be able to quickly create new load case inside robot project.
For instance, you’ll be able to quickly create 5 live load of class A and 6 other ones of class B with two mouse clicks.
“Modification cas de charges_v_1.6.exe » ( English name « load case modification”)
This addin allow the user to multiply the loads values inside a load case by a coefficient.
This modification can be done for all values inside the selected load case or only for the selected load type inside a load case.
This addin is generally used to quickly modify wind load values determined by Robot if one wants to consider different assumptions.
“LimiterCasVariableMax2.exe” (English name « CombinationsNumberLimitation”)
This addin purpose is to limit the number of generated combinations according the Eurocode.
For some national annexes (like the French one), the Eurocode specify that it is not necessary to consider more than two live loads at a time inside a combinations.
This recommendation is currently not considered by ROBOT.
This addin allow to deleted the unwanted combinations from a ROBOT project and renumber the remaining combinations.
“DéplacementsRelatifAppuisEC8.exe” (English name « EC8 relative displacements generator”).
The December 2013 update of NF EN 1998-1-1 code explains that when building foundations are not linked by deep beams, relatives displacements under seismic conditions should be considered.
Such recommendations are probably applicable for other national codes.
Such displacements should be determined based on the method described in the EN 1998-1-2 relative to bridges design.
This method suggests to determine two sets of relative displacements that are assumed as imposed displacements on support in ROBOT.
Those displacements are considered as an additional mode that should be “added” with the seismic analysis case by creating quadratic combinations .
Those quadratic combinations are then assumed as the new seismic cases and Newmark or quadratic combination should be created with them.
This addin automate this process.
The user simply has to select some basic assumptions relative to the seismic analysis he is going to run (seismicity zone, ground type , etc..),
He’ll also need to select the method he’d like to use and finally the type of combination he’d like to generate (quadratic or Newmark combinations).
