I am doing an rehabilitation work for one steel where existing cross girder is having high concrete of load at ends of web where deck plate is abruptly finishing. So, I have added additional steel plates which connecting to existing web to supported Box girder. I have used beam elements to represent bolts behavior.
My question is how do I corelated stresses that developed in plate elements for designing elements. Also I have doubt in what meshing types needs to provided ? I have provided a meshing based on my knowledge in the robot model attached. Just wanted to is that correct ?
