You can create post-tension tendons in Revit using:

  1. Structural rebar (in this case you must edit rebar shape
  2. Special Structural fraiming family (see attachment)

Wow Max. That is impressive.

Would you be able to attach a larger PDF file of your first image so that it would be readable?

Hello,
I am student of Civil Engineering at the University of Minho Portugal, and my final work is about prestressing. It would be possible to explain how he created the family of prestressing cable?

Hello, it would be possible to post the template file in Revit?
It was very important to me.

This is very impressive. My company is making the first move into BIM modeling using Revit. I am the first employee moving into using Revit and was researching PT tendons and anchors when I came across this post. Thus far this is the most intuivitie process i've seen in creating PT tendons in Revit. I see you said this was created using a rebar family and then bent to shape. How would I go about making a family such as thing one? Or did you post the family for others to download as well? Also is there any suggestions on how to begin the process? Also was this used on Revit or Revit Structure? And if Revit Structure, is it possible to use on Revit?

Thanks in advanced,

Keith

Hey,

Can you please share PT cable Revit family?

You might be interestet to test SOFiSTiK Infrastructure Extension for Revit 2018, which includes commands for creating end editing tendons.

Available for free as labs version from SOFiSTiK Website:

https://www.sofistik.com/products/bim-cad/infrastructure-extension/

Check the links to our online documentation:

Create Tendon: https://www.sofistik.de/documentation/2018/en/infrastructure_extension/cmdref/create_tendon.html

Edit Tendon: https://www.sofistik.de/documentation/2018/en/infrastructure_extension/cmdref/edit_tendon.html

Would be nice to hear your Feedback!

PS: The whole app currently is designed to support integrated workflow Analysis and design for bridges, but if you can use these two commands, it is worth trying.
