hello, once you open your file there are two options to choose . choose open with save changes.
for back up locations:
When working using Collaboration for Revit, there will be a local copy on your machine. It will be in the location below:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\<Autodesk Revit Version>\CollaborationCache
In this folder, you will see folders with Hub GUIDs, then in the subfolders you will see project GUIDs, and in those folders, you will see Revit files with the file GUIDs. These are the local copies of any files you work on using Collaboration for Revit. There are a couple ways to determine which file is which:
- A) Open the file to see which one it is, then use Save As to save to a different place with the correct name.
- B) Look in the journal file for a session where you opened the file in Revit and look for the line below, for example:
Jrn.Data "File Name" _ , "IDOK", "CLD://{cc0461d1-07b9-4fb4-9e4b-f3dc0b7a8bd3}Skiba House/{08aa6dc6-3f6c-4939-92a6-e412ef449c1b}Skiba Cabin - 07.08.rvt"
“cc0461d1-07b9-4fb4-9e4b-f3dc0b7a8bd3” is the project GUID, and “08aa6dc6-3f6c-4939-92a6-e412ef449c1b” is the file GUID.
The journal will be located in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\<Autodesk Revit version>\Journals
Remember : without the difficult times in your LIFE, you wouldn't be who you are today. Be grateful for the good and the bad. ANGER doesn't solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything...
