I have a structural Revit model
I have a link to architect model called Project xxx -2015-01-30

I have been now given a more up to date model from architect
Now called
project xxx -2015-06-30

How do I replace the old link with the new one in my structural model
Thanks

Hi;

It depends if the architectural model has been totally changed i mean the element IDs, or just a name.

In all cases from project browser, you can right click on the old link, and press "reload from" and select the new link to be loaded.

Best,

My guess is they just supplemented the name of the file with the later date. Ideally they should not be doing that.

Assuming you keep an archieve of old models that you get from the architect (you should do this by the way) then when you process the model, I would just simply overwrite the old file with this new one when you do "Save As". Revit will warn you if you want to do this and that is fine assuming you do have a record of the older architects model somewhere.
