Is there a way in Revit to automatically splice and tag rebars that exceed 12 m in length for free from?

I’m especially interested in cases with varying rebar lengths. Ideally, I’d like to:

  • Use a formula or workflow to determine when splicing is required.

  • Show in shop drawings the number of 12 m bars plus the remaining bar lengths.

  • Generate this information correctly in the Bar Bending Schedule (BBS).

Has anyone found a method or workaround for this in Revit?

This is not possible at present and the you could incorporate a filter in a View or Schedule to highlight when bars are greater than 12m as a visual check and edit accordingly

It is on the Revit Roadmap
