Structure Model do not match Arch Model Survey Model

Hi All,

I have an Structure model which have an Arch model linked by Auto:Origin to Origin. Both model share the same coordinate and both models match location, Survey Point, Project Base Point and Internal Origin.

But the values of the Survey Point and Project Base Point do not match.

How can I make SP and PBP of my model match Arch values?

I appreciate any help.

'Internal Origin to Internal Origin' doesn't mean they have a shared coordinate system set up.

Your images shows two different models and the internal origins from both aligning? that is how you linked it if you use origin to origin. One model also has an offset applied to survey point whilst the other doesn't even though survey point is in same location, that to me indicates they likely don't have a shared system.

If they had a shared system you would also be linking one into the other via 'Auto By Shared Coordinates' I assume?

Following on from the previous reply.

Every Revit model has a 0,0,0 like Autocad and that is the Internal Origin!

if a Site Revit model was shared with all disciplines and Grids A&1 were placed as a setting out crosshair on the Internal Origin and linked into all discipline models then using “Internal Origin to Internal Origin” when all models were linked together would work without perfectly wiout the need for shared coordinates or a coordinates system.

in this instance it looks like the Structural model has been setup using “Specify coordinates at a point” and the Internal Origin as the point of source with Real World Coordinates

To reset these - Manage > Position > Coordinates > Reset Coordinates they will then match up the Architects and start again from scratch
