Structural usage types missing?

Hi,

In Revit structure, I don't see the option of setting a beam as Joists. Why? 

But in online help, they indicate it is possible to set as Joist. Any idea?

For the structural usage - Girder, joist, Purlin are the same as Primary, Secondary, Tertiary

Girder, Joist and Purlin is American terminology

Primary, Secondary and Tertiary is British terminology

This is to do with the country version you have installed
