the structural truss family has a symbolic line that shows in course view in plan.

is there a way to modify it to show in Medium view?

You could set the Model Category for the Detail Level in the Visibility Graphics for that View on Trusses to be Coarse?

Do you have View Filters setup or a View Template with Graphic Overrides?   As it appears the are not showing as a normal coarse/medium style in. Structural Template

we have modified the dimension lumber family symbolic line  to appear as centerline to match our office standard in medium view.

I'm trying to get the structural truss family "stick symbols" line to appear as a centerline in the medium view

i got it to work finally.

for some reason when i switched to course view it was not changing.  i had to restart revit (2025)

i then created a duplicate dimension lumber family to use in my truss family that does not have a symbolic line that appears in medium view.

Thanks your for your help

I am a little confused as you wanted to have a symbolic line in medium detail level but created a new dimension lumber which doesn’t have a symbolic line?

However I am glad you got it sorted as you just needed to find the purple override in Object Styles and change this!

correct.  the structural truss family has a stick symbol within the family that even with no other family members included will show up on coarse view.  so i needed a truss that would have members showing the actual member in 3D views, in plan views i needed the dimension lumber family members to show as dashed lines along with the truss family in plan view showing as it appears in course view.  so my truss family structural members could not have a symbolic line.  yes......very confusing  .  your advice on having the truss family appear in course detail view in plan was very helpful.  I was missing that one .
