Hi,

We use Revit for modeling precast concrete beams.

Is it possible to use the new Structural Precast extension for creating shopdrawings ?

Regards,

Dennis

As far as I know , the precast parts should be done using the families which the plugin is familiar with.

Hello Mostafa,

I'm interested in the pxml export of rebar data in our concrete beams.

We have good tools for creating rebar in our beams but exporting rebar data is still a problem in revit.

It seems the Structural Precast Exetension is able to export to pxml...I would like to use that function for my beams.

Hi @KE-engineering,

The PXML format is available for now only to planar elements. This means that you should have walls or slabs so that you can export the PXML data. Could you post a snapshot of beam shapes you are using?

Kind regards,

Hi @teodorb ,

We've managed to create our own softwaretools (VB+dynamo) to quickly rebar our concrete beams.

What we're looking for is a way to export rebar to PXML (or BVBS, but I think that is a Dutch format).

Hi @KE-engineering,

A current workaround would be to use walls to replicate your beams. Use split command and add reinforcement in the wall. The resulting assembly can be used to export the rebar data Could you please also provide a RVT file for the beam?

Hi @teodorb,

Thanks for your quick reply !

Changing the beam from structural framing to a wall might get me into a lot of trouble with the Dynamo scripts I've written.

I prefer to keep the beam as structural framing.
