Structural plans not showing as we would want

Dear forumusers,

I have a question and I hope one of you has a solution.

When we make structural plans for buildings at my company we show the walls underneath the floor and columns underneath it. But we draw the floor as seen from top. Now we have building where the wall openings aren't aligned above eachother. Now it looks like the beams we draw are in the wall and not above the wall openings.

Is there a way in revit too show the floor with the walls including wallopenings underneath it and not the one above theme? We can't fix it with viewrange because of different levels in floor at the same levels.

Kind regards

Jan

One solution would be to add a plan region above each window.

my workaround for this is to create "sublevels" below your level apply in this "sublevel" filters to hide everything but your wall / columns.

make what stays visible transparent and you can also change the line style and pattern.

Place your level on the sheet (shows everything above level) and place on top of the just placed level the "sublevel" (shows everything below level) because the "sublevel" is transparent you can see trough it and still see the level.

                    Sublevels 1500 below level                                                                                        Filterlevels.png
