Structural Beam System Tags now not working?

I am working in Revit 2017 and I am trying to place and automatically tag a beam system. I am having an issue where I place a beam system and the system shows up but it does not automatically tag. After exiting the command I cannot select the beam system or any of the individual beams either.

When you place the beam system on the ribbon there is an option to tag on placement...I did a quick video

you can try choosing it in the 3D , i had the same problem before

then i have used 3D to choose it.

Check to make sure you can select pinned items... Beam in the system are pinned by default.  If your selection looks like this, you can't select pinned items...
