steel connections

when modeling a custom sections portal frame from welded plates for columns and beams, do you people create in-place steel connections between columns and rafters or import the structure to another software to do it?

Hi,

If the columns and beams are certified, according to the specifications here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-6244E741-5D14-4DAD-AE25-5069F71B69F3 , you should be able to place steel connections starting with Revit 2017. Please find the instructions for placing standard connections list here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-24C33598-E6B7-426A-ABBD-F0BDFA2EACC1

Best regards
