Steel connections - Beams

Hello all,

I want to create the 2 connections (green color, as in the other side of beams), but I don't want the horizontal beam to be cut. Is there any way to rotate maybe the connection and put it in the correct place (the connection is created automatically in the position of red circle) , or not sure how could I do this..

Thank you in advance!

Hi @mairh_tsek

When you apply a connection there is a main member and a secondary member, lloking at you screenshot these are the opposite way round.

If you singe click on the connection you will see a big solid blue circle, this is the main member, you will also see a blue circle with a 2, this is the secondary member (See screenshot below)

You can click and drag on either of these to swap the main secondary member, or simply click the small blue circle under the 2 and this will swap them

This should give you what you want, if not could you please upload the Revit file
