Stair reinforcement detailing

Dear Forum,

I detailing reinforcement for stair but I'm unable to do it the way I want.Revit is limiting to add the reinforcements as they are provided by the calculations. as I'm a beginner in Revit can anyone help me to figure out how to do so?

there is a green outline for each stair flight which you can't go beyond. there is no way that line is continuous to the landing to allow me to connect the rebars from flight to the landing. I attached the screenshot of how it looks like. I'll be happy if there is anyone who can tell me how to detail the stairway in the best way using Revit.

Thank you

Hi Obed,

I looked at the stair your trying to reinforce and I'd like to ask you if you have tried to use the Sketch tool, to model the rebar that's hosted by the stair such that it extends into the beam. The same you can try for the rebar you would like to extend into the landing.Sketch rebar.png

Since you mention you've recently started using Revit, I would also recommend you to take a look at some blog posts about rebar detailing in Revit:

Please let me know if the sketching of the rebar helped you achieve your modelling intent.

Hi Dan,

Of course, I've used the sketch tool and I've tried to extend the rebar into the slab but at the time I finished to draw it when I check the green mark, the error window pops up saying that there's more than one loop, the rebar can't be created. I tried but I couldn't fix the error at all.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Thank you for the greetings. The same best wishes to you, too!

Hi Dan,

I tried the approach of using the sketching tool as you've suggested me, now it is working very well.

I've appreciated a lot for your incredible support for this issue and the recommendations for tutorials that you provided me.

Best regards,

Obed S
