Snapping of nut center on steel connection(structure connection) not working?

Hi,

I am using steel connection (or Structure connection whatever you call it) in Revit 2020.2.9 to connect a column to foundation.

I need to show the distance between the bolts/nuts as below shows, but snapping seems not working on them.

The edge of the plate reacts to the snapping of "Aligned Dimension" command like below, but the nuts don't.

Appreciate to any advice, thank you.

I tried so many times, it is not easy the point of the middle of the anchor is existing but you have to pick by a lot if effort using Tab Key and the view range to be showing the anchor without covering it.

Many thanks @Ahmed_Muharram !!!

Yes with your confirmation, I managed to find the center of the anchors like below!

TiStars_0-1673986850588.png

I am finding the anchors don't react to "Aligned Dimension" command until you zoom out a bit like below shows.

  1. I set scale to 1:2
  2. Click "Aligned Dimension"
  3. zoom out till it is such small, and hover over mouse near them (not top of them), then the center of anchor will react and highlight.    (Repeat the red part until the center of anchor reacts)
  4.  Click to set the first point of dimension.
  5. without changing scale nor zooming,  hover over mouse near the other nuts and click if the center of anchor reacts to finish dimension.

Key point:

Keep trying zoom in and out and hover over mouse near the anchors

That is all BS. All Connectors should have reference lines to dimension to

Hello @TiStars

Set visual style  to wireframe and get the center of the hole.

Much easier.

Nope, does not work! I tried all means. Moreover you can not align bolts if I broke the connection and used only bolts
