Slab thickening under wall

Hi, im using Revit 2024.
What is the best way to create a slab thickening under internal walls?

I have attached an image of what i want to model.

I need it to be inserted when I click on a wall like how a strip footing would be inserted.

In the second screenshot I created a profile do to it, but I can't dimension to the hidden lines, and it doesn't join at intersections, only at corners

We use a custom slab edge attached to a model line along the center of the wall.

Souds like what I did, can you make it show properly where the walls intersect? It only shows properly at the corners

Absolutely! Use the join geometry tool.

Right thanks for that. One more question please.

In this screenshot the highlighted line is the only one it allows me to dimension to, which is the "top" of the thickening. I want to dimension the bottom of the thickening (the hidden lines) but it doesnt want to select them. I had to draw detail lines over them to dimension it. Is there a setting im missing for this?

I/m not 100% sure I understand your question... We place a model line at the center of the wall and lock it to the wall so if the wall moves, so does the thickened slab. We do not dimension to the thickened slab in plan, but use a typical detail (drafting view) that provides the contractor with the info to construct the thickened area.

I would suggest you create a custom profile based from the top of slab line that can be controlled by family parameters any types for the slab edge shape.
