Share reinforcement in columns

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

Here's the thing. I have a building column that is 60 meter length, but, for budget purposes, the column is splitted by every level in the building, that is, every single column is 3.00 meters length and reinforcing bars are much longer than that. So I have a single reinforcing bar going trough different columns.

I want to know whether there is a way that these columns share that reinforcing or whether there is a way where this columns can be grouped and associate all the reinforcing to it. So revit will treat all the reinforcing as a whole and all the columns as a whole

Thanks a lot!

I recommend you create a column at each level (a 3 m one).

You can create the first one and then copy and paste aligned at selected levels.

Also I recommend you model the reinforcement for each level at a time.

You can also model for 2 levels at a time, if you are overlapping the bars at every other level.
