Self-expanding concrete beam

Hi,

I am required to do certain thing for work and I don't belive there is no faster or/and easier way to do it.
Our budget management requires to create structural beams with their additional suport length (+25 cm each end)
What I do is, I create the beam in the opening and then stretch it with blue dots to the required support's length. 

the problem is, then I need to go to the analitical model and align the nodes back to the opening's width.

I am looking for solution that will let me extend the beam but the nodes will stay in the opening. It would be great help if I could just write the value of start and end extension. 
PS. It is probably worth mentioning that the beams are concrete.

I need beams to look like this in the regular 3D view:

But I need analytical model to look like this:

Right now I do it in following way:
1) I draw a beam that is as big as the door opening
2)I change it's length to length of the opening + additional length at the supports

3) Then Analytical model looks like this:

4) then I need to change nodes back to the corners of the walls. I use align to do that.

Is there another way?
