See which views have a certain view template

Hi,

I want to change an already assigned view template assigned to a view on a sheet.

When I open the "Assign View Template" window, it shows "Number of views with this template assigned" in the top right corner.

Is there a way for me to see exactly which views have the template assigned?

  • I'm sorry but your solution lumber.gardwin was not helpful or proper if I'm not mistaken. After searching for a solution in different forums none was found. After carefully reviewing one can find which view template is applied to the view by simply looking on Properties Panel, scrolling down to Identity Data
  • View Template  which will say None or whichever template name has been assigned and from there you can edit, duplicate or start a new one.

Hope this answer is clear and straight forward.

But you are mistaken, because you misunderstand the question.  The answers provided earlier are correct.

Hi @wz264 ,

It's okay. I believe you misunderstood the question "See which views have a certain view template".

Your answer is considered correct when you want to manually check in the properties palette which view template is assigned to a single View.

But @david.gardin is looking for an easier way to check which views have that particular view template was assigned to. If you have 100 views to check, it will be very difficult to check one by one manually, rather, just create a view schedule.

Hope it clarifies why david accepted our solutions.

Regards,

Dar

Thank you for clarifying. haven't gotten to that level of detail yet. But
the way you just described makes total sense.

Alternatively — if you need to open and check views — you can manage "Browser Organization" to group and sort them by View Template.
