Is it possible to show the cut pattern of both walls and floors, when the walls go up to the bottom of the floor?

I want to see the cut pattern of the walls and see the outline of the floors.

try selecting the wall and pick Detach Top Base from the ribbon, then select the Floor.

Thank you for your reply, but I think I explained it wrong.

I would like to see both the cut pattern of my floor and walls in a floorplan view.

The way I do it know is by modeling the walls through my floor, just like in the attachments.

But I think there should be a better way, because by doing it this way the model is not correct.

(see attachments for example. The yellow line is the cut level in the view range)

I don't think your going to be able to do what your looking for. An objects Cut Pattern only shows when the assigned cut plane cuts thru the object.

I was thinking you could use a Detail Section, horizontally, then use the Split Segment tool. It kind of works, but you only see the walls that are cut, not the other two. So unless someone else comes up with something, I'm back to "I don't think your going to be able to do what your looking for" 😊

I can only think of either Setting the View Style to Wireframe of adding a Transparency to the Floor on Object View Override

You cannot see the floor's cut pattern unless the view range's cut plane cutting the middle of the floor, which never makes sense unless you are doing the rebar plans.   If you mean the floor's surface pattern instead, then yes, you can see the walls' cut pattern and the floor's surface pattern in a plan view.

Probably for this case, i think it would be better for you to create a detail items family, with a parameter to control its height from a level. should be enough
