Same assembly different partition for rebar?

Is it possible to have one assembly (whole wall foundations in project) and different partition names (I would like to name all longitudinal together and then the rest - stirrups etc)?

I did it a few times, but it going back automatically after some time to partition=assembly name and is wrong everytime I went back to this drawing. Or maybe there is a better way to achieve what I want - which is only total length of logitudinal rebar (so I had one schedule for it filter by partition name) and the rest of rebars as it always is.

See attachement how I want it to stay.

I think I've partly figured it out - I've used schedule mark for dividing rebar into 2 groups as I wanted. Only thing that is not working is that the numbering is not divided for every group - is there a solution for that?

Hi @Anonymous

Partitions would be the way to go for numbering the bars differently.

All bars in the same partition are numbered without comparing to bars in the other partitions.

It's strange that it's reverting to partition = assembly name.

What version of Revit are you using?

When exactly is it changing the partition name?

I'm using Revit 2020.2. I was trying to recreate it and did it - but for me the trigger is random.

Maybe it's not an assembly name, but a previous partition number (I forgot it's the same).

I have similar problem.
Does have anybody figured out what triggers that behaviour?
I can not find this as a documented behaviour.
I do not like things that are working at random.

Same happening in Revit 2022.
Can you point out what triggers this?
