Hello,
I am trying to install the Revit 2017 viewer on several rebuilt Windows 7 Pro machines in my office, so that engineers can view models that technicians are working on, without being able to modify them.
I have installed Revit as a 30 day trial, and am trying to edit the open command key (Default) in the registry at: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Revit.Project\shell\open\command" to read:
"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2017\Revit.exe" /dde /viewer
This method is currently working on several Windows 10 pro systems in the office already, however on the Windows 7 pro machines, once I open Revit, the registry entry reverts back to read:
C:\PROGRA~1\Autodesk\REVIT2~1\Revit.exe /dde
I have got this method to work on several Windows 10 pro machines previously. Can anyone suggest a possible cause of this
