Hi all,

I am new learner of revit structure.

i am facing one problem when i export revit file to autocad, the autocad beam or floor layer overlapped
on the column layer, i attached screen shot for your reference.

for your information column, slab and beam are the same levl. i.e. T.O.C are same.

exporting to Autocad is not perfect. there are frequently things that need to be "Cleaned Up" once in autocad. there are however sometimes things that can be done to fix cretin issues. i have not seen this specific one before and could not duplicate it in my file. can you upload the Revit file for us to look at?

Probably this is related to numerical accuracy of the column width/position and the beam width/position i.e. column is not exactly centred on the beam to the numerical degree that is required to treat curtailment of the hidden beam lines the same either side of the column.

Without opening the file I suspect that on one side the beam is slightly out of the column (just hidden by the slab, hidden line is subcategory of beam) the other side the beam is cutting into the column (hidden line is subcategory of column rather than beam).

If it is a precision issue where the exporter is expecting the accuracy of a computer then perhaps slightly oversizing column to a humanly insignificant amount could be a strategy.

The below option may tell you more:
