Revit IFC Material Properties Export

Hi everyone,

I am trying to export material names, material properties and material volumes from Revit to IFC (IFC4) to perform a Lifecycle Carbon Assessment (LCA).
I can export the material names and volumes fine, but I cannot find a way to export the densities, even after ticking the box "Export material property sets"

I was just wondering if anyone knew a fix or could provide some guidance, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am not sure 100% on this but I know you can create IFC Schedules so if you had a Material Take-off this could be utilised?

Exporting IFC from Revit part 3: User-defined properties – Bim Corner

Schedules | Autodesk IFC Manual

I have seen LCA Software which has plugins/Integrators which can pull Material information which may be more inline with your requirements

Autodesk® Revit® – One Click LCA Help Centre

Thank you Jay for the quick reply!

Yes, I will try this tomorrow morning, I need the program to be easily transferable between projects so I think I will try the User defined properties method - I will let you know how I get on.

Many thanks,
Luke

Banglarbhumi is the official land records and reforms portal of the Government of West Bengal. It provides citizens with online access to land-related information such as Khatian (land records), plot maps, land valuation, property details, and mutation status. The portal was launched to make the land record system transparent, reduce corruption, and save time for property owners, buyers, and sellers. It plays a key role in ensuring easy access to property-related services without the need to visit government offices.
