Hi All,
Revit encountered a serious error in 2024! (this is not the first time and this is not only for my computer in our office!)
I could not audit it!
I tried 4 days already.
I reinstalled Revit 2024 and applied the new patch of this month and it's still not working.

I opened the old version and then I could open it by "Detached" method. I could work and save and then the next day when I tried to open it, the same message showed and could not open the model again!
This has never happened for the previous Revit (even Revit 2023 works).
and when I tried to open the model the second time, it just closed the Revit and showed the error (see picture 2)
I need a solution! Thanks all!

Am I the only person who has this issue of Revit 2024?

The wort thing could be that I even could not "Audit" the model to make it work!

I have seen the following issue;

https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-B86015E1-495E-4274-8FA6-1E526CBA99CF

also when opening the Central Model try picking specifying a Workset rather than the full model, does this allow the model to open for Audit?

Thanks for your suggestions!

no, even if I just chose one simple workset to open the model, it's not working!
The error message like this:

[cid:image001.png@01D9EF90.B88DCC50]

So it's not working this way!

Thanks for your reply!
It was still not working even if I opened a simple workset!
So, the same error message!

Hi @BMPIFY

Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums!   Can you try the below:

Additional items to check for Workshared models

  1. Open the model with all worksets closed. See the following article for information on How to turn off worksets when opening models
  2. If the model opens with the worksets closed, turn worksets back on to see if one or more of the worksets are associated with the error. Pay particular attention to worksets that contain linked files (if such worksets have been created in the model).
    1. If the error appears to be caused by linked models, go through the following steps.
    2. Open the Manage Links dialog box.
    3. Unload the problematic links.
    4. Confirm that the model opens without error when the links are unloaded.
    5. Reload the links to find the specific ones causing the error.
    6. Open the models causing the error, to check for errors/warnings encountered when opening the linked model directly.
  3. If the model does NOT open with all worksets closed, Detach the model from Central and resave it as a new central.

We look forward to hearing back from you with more information so we can help you as a community!

all the recommendations above are not working! I was following the instructions and using a refreshed Windows 10 and Revit 2024 only.
opening it by Detaching was not working (progress upto 56%).
"Audit" the model by detaching or not detaching was just corrupted Revit App and closed everything!

So the problems are not very simple.
