Revit Connection for SHS Bracing (Cut Section with Plate)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Revit and am trying to model a bracing connection similar to the one shown in the attached image. The design involves a cut SHS section with a plate inserted. I’m wondering if there’s a built-in Revit connection for this, or if anyone has practical tips on how to model this type of joint.

I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Bela

You should be able to achieve this with the OOTB Connections Tube Connections

You can then modify/Edit the connection to suit your exact needs - Properties Palette > Edit Type > Modify Parameters

Hi, Yes this can be done OOTB with the Connection Jay suggested above, you just need to play with the settings a bit.

The trick lies in these settings

Apologies!

Tube with Sandwich Plates or Tube Place Bracing may be more relevant?  May need some editing but all the other there does not seem an option to turn of the "T" section element?

Thanks, it's almost good, but this is as far as I got; there is still one plate left in it, and one option is not available here

I did not have that option either?

You need untick the Tab Plates > Create Plate & Same as other

It then becomes available
