Hi. I'm trying to use Revit bending detail for a specific rebar shape that I draw using free form, but the bending detail image wont work. It's like the image below, the image stays as a exclamation mark.
Thank's in advance for any help !!!

The bending detail is available for free form rebar, only when the workshop instructions is set to "Bend" for the bar.
In this example it looks like the BD can't be computed for the particular bar. It may be related to the large angle between the bar segments (almost colinear)
Can you attach a sample file with this bar?

Hi ovidiu, sorry for the late reply, didnt see that I got awnsers at my post.
Thats weird, because there`s not any sharp angles in my rebar form. It seems to work when I shorten the length of It, not necessarily removing any curves. The file is attached.
you can see the problem at the first sheet ( DETALHAMENTO LAJE ).
Thank you !!
Unfortunately there is an issue with bending details not working for bars with segments that are almost colinear. This is due to some tolerances used to define the BD geometry. This will be fixed, but I can't give specific details about the Revit version.
In a simple example, if I sketch a bar from scratch and adjust the angles, the bending detail stops working at about 179.05 deg.
In your case it was 178.854 deg
As a workaround, you could create another section view where you show only that bar, add some text for segment lengths and a tag, and overlap it with the other section, on that sheet.
No, because when you displace an element in a view, you only see the displaced element, not the original.
