Revit 2021 not loading 2019 families

Hi, our company has just started making the move to Revit 2021. When starting a new project we use the company 2019 template as we only upgrade templates and families every second year, and due to the rush (for a job), of installing 2021 I haven't upgraded the content yet. When we try and load a family from the library, the 'specify types' pop up that usually has all of the member sizes to pick from, is empty.

I've tried upgrading one family type to 2021 to see if that solved the problem, but it hasn't. Does the .txt file need different information now?

Cheers

Update: it turns out that there was a blank line between the headings/parameters and the information. This is fine in 2019 or 2020 but not in 2021...so problem solved.

I work in Revit MEP

That my have worked in that instance but I am downloading family's from manufactures with these errors (see below) and I have looked at the txt file, there's no space.

I have saved out two of the individual families in Revit 2019 and upgraded to Revit 2021 then exported the txt and the only difference seems to be headings/parameters group names are all capital letters.

The new txt will work together with the 2017.rfa and open correctly in Revit 2021 but will then not open in Revit 2019 as before I have to use the 2017.txt.

This is a huge compatibility issue......

So I have found one more difference  "Inch and Feet" I know this is not the only difference because when I open the original 2017.txt and change the Inches to feet I get errors on "Pound" so there's more to this puzzle.

Revit 2017.txt  =  A_Class125##length##inches

Revit 2021.txt  =  A_Class125##LENGTH##FEET
