Revit 2018 - 3D PDF Converter

Will Revit 2018 have the  3D pdf feature? Is there a way I can download the feature? When will Autodesk allow Revit users to save down to earlier versions? My team relies on the 3D pdf viewer as our job progresses. Please tell me I can download the add-on to Revit 2018.

Does not seem to be part of Revit soon. See THIS idea with response from Autodesk (support the idea to get it higher up the agenda).

There are several add-ins (not used them myself) in the app-store. Also bluebeam seems to be a solution used by different people.

Revit has never been backwards compatible. As this will cause a lot of overhead in the development process I do not see this happening. Especially now, when the software goes more and more to a subscription license.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

L.Maas- Thank you for the reply. Revit 2017 already has the Bluebeam 3D PDF
Converter add in installed, and I had hoped it would have been an upgrade
option in the 2018 feature. Sad to say, but I will no longer be using Revit
2018. The bad part of the situation-I will need to redo what I did in 2018
after starting my project in 2017.

As for backwards compatible-Pro's and Con's.

Thanks for the Info. It will work, but I will just go back to Revit 2017. I
do not like doing things twice, if I do not need to. Hopefully Revit 2019
will have the Bluebeam add in already installed.

You just need to add Revit 2018 in your Bluebeam settings. It is most likely not listed and you need to select it manually. If it is not listed you need to update your Bluebeam installation. (happened to me with Revit 2017)

Aloha KarolPiroska, thank you for the Reply, I have sent an email to my IT
to do the upgrade, and hopefully this is the fix, and I think it is. I will
keep you posted.

So, apparently Bluebeam has not created a plugin for Revit 2018, and hopefully it will be created in the near future. Thank you all for the responses.

This is pretty much Standard Operating Procedure for many Revit Add-Ins.

Bluebeam specially seems to lag about 6 months with their Add-In.

A while ago, I heard that the Bluebeam (2017) Add-In for Revit 2018 would be out in August. Which is quickly coming to a close.
