Revit 2017 Structure on Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Hello - I am a structural engineer thinking of purchasing a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet ( 256 GB storage, i7 processor, and 16 GB RAM). Are there any concerns with running Revit on this device? It seems like the specifications required match what is recommended. Are there any hidden issues with this device and Revit 2017?

Thank you,

Blake

the screen resolution is a bit a problem, because the icons and menues are fixed and don't scale. In general it seems Revit is not prepared for high resolution screens

Can anyone send a screen shot of Revit on a Surface Pro product?

I have the surface book with a resolution of 3000x2000. And the icon scaling issues were improved with the latest updates, but there are still some submenus, schedules and buttons with don't scale well. Especially add-ins, and tools in Dynamo for example data-shapes have problems with high resolution.

The hardware should be ok, but it is not a real workstation. For production work I would buy a thinkpad or hp workstation with full hd and 17". These are much heavier, but it plays better together with external full hd monitors to extend the laptop monitor. I use my surface in addition to a desktop pc. The surface is ok for presentations, i can open models, good for traveling, reading PDFs, long battery life, but I would not like to use it for daily Revit stuff.
