Revit 2013 - Structure - Inconsistent View scales displayed

I have a project where I have several views set up using a view template with the scale set to 1" = 100'.

Revit is displaying the view scale as being set to either 1"=120', or 1"=100' in the lower left corner of the view window in different views using the same vew template.  It appears to be random.  This behavior is also appearing on the sheets in the view scale in the view title.

Did you check to see if there was a "Custom" scale?

At the bottom left side of your view, click on the view scale.  At the top of the list of choices is "Custom..."

If the scale has been overridden, the "Display Name:" box will be checked and there will be text in the box beside it.  To clear it, uncheck the box.

1"=100'-0" isn't a custom scale, is it?

If I click on Custom Scale, the ratio appears to be correct, and Display Name is unchecked.

If you can click on Custom Scale it sounds like either the template isn't applied or the scales setting is not included in it. If those were both set the scales would be greyed out and you wouldn't be able to click on them. In the View Properties, does the template show as applied to that view? In the Manage View Templates dialog, is the Include box checked for the View Scale setting in that template?

I had unchecked the View Scale in the template to check the scale settings per the post above.

I had been working with a view scale at 1"=120', and then created a template that had the scale at 1"=100' and applied it to the view.  I can recreate the problem with a new file doing the same thing.  Create a view with the View Scale set to 1"=120', then apply a template with the View Scale set to 1" = 100'.  The scale doesn't appear to update.

It seems like that the applied view template doesn't override the displayed scale when display name is checked in pop-up window for choosing custom scale ratio.

Anders, I see what you mean about when the Display Name is checked - I can then reproduce the problem. I have submitted this to our development team for a future modification.

In the meantime, does this help explain what you're seeing? If Display Name is cleared then the scale should update with the template.
