Reducing length of beams simultaneously?

Hello, I have a spaceframe in which the members length needs to be reduced by a certain amount on both side without changing the angle, alignment of the beam. I can change the length of the beam from both side by the blue dimension which appears when clicking on it but it is greyed out in the properties bar. I have multiple beams on which I have to do this, Is there any faster way to go about this? as this would be a common occurrence in bigger projects than this...

They will be greyed out if they are pinned so i can only think of Selecting All Elements > Unpin and selecting as a group and filtering down to what you exactly need and editing the Start and End Join Cutbacks for multiple elements.

The only other alternative would be to create a Schedule and filter by Structural Usage and edit here once unpinned

The spaceframe members aren't welded but are bolted to a node (Ball). The connections and node balls aren't present in the revit model as I have made it in advance steel and imported only the steel members here. The members aren't pinned either and they're not joined to each other hence can't edit the cutbacks on both ends I think. OOF. Is there any dynamo script which could access the member's instance length and edit it? Doing manually would mean doing it one by one in this case.

Did you use the Revit Integrator to Advanced Steel Addin\Link method?

Can you save a copy in Advanced steel and set it up as required and import into Revit so it is pinned and etc.
