Rebars in groups

Hi all,

I am now working with in-cast  concrete RC project.
I have slab with beam. I need that beam rebars are counting seperately from slab. When I place rebars at top of the beam it has floor host, than I manually pick new host - structural framing (beam). Next step I am grouping links and longitudional rebars into group to be able copy it to next beam and later if need change rebar parameters if need. But problem cousing when copy group to the next beam the upper bars get floor host automatically. And if  I am picking new host category for that rebars, the other instaces of that group are refreshing host category parameters.
Same problem is for columns. Links which are placed in slab level can't be added to column category for counting if these rebars is in group.
Also host category very useful for filtering visibility.
In screencast bold rebar has structural framing category.
Can be parameters Host mark, Host category for rebars set to be "values can vary by group instance"?

Hello gatis,

This behaviour is very odd, looks like a bug. Regarding rebar hosting problems in beam/slab interface regions, I usually unjoin their geometry. It has a downside effect that the interface volume will be counted twice, once for beam and once for slab, but it managed to solve the problems I was facing. Not sure if it will solve yours. Let me know if it worked for you.

Best regards

I don't think that it's a bug. Just parameters HOST MARK, HOST CATEGORY could be set to be varies per group instances. If you are creating new parameter you are able to choose option, but these parameters are built in. IDEA

i usually model beams with height that is under slab level, and they don't intersect each other. Also if they are unjoined the geometry line between them could be hidden and this slowing documentation detailing process if use linework tool and than add some detail lines.

Thanks for your replay.
